East Yorkshire puts Levante on new express service

A Caetano Levante is to be used on a new express service to be launched by Go-Ahead-owned East Yorkshire.

Scheduled to start in the New Year, the services will give faster connections from Goole/Elloughton/Brough and Withernsea/Hedon into Hull city centre, opening up new opportunities for people to travel for work and leisure. The wheelchair-accessible coach features wifi, leather seats and air-conditioning, as well as a bike rack in the luggage compartment.

East Yorkshire Area Director, Ben Gilligan, said: “At the end of summer we launched our first EastRider buses from York to Hull and Bridlington, and they’ve had a brilliant reaction from customers. We wanted to bring the new brand to some of our other long distance routes, to give passengers faster journeys and more luxurious travel.

“As roads become more congested and people start thinking more about their personal carbon footprints, public transport will become the sensible choice for commuters and shoppers. By making our services faster and more comfortable, we’re giving people even more reasons to leave the car at home and hop on the bus.”
