De Lijn take delivery of 41 VDL MidCitys
Belgian passenger transport company De Lijn has updated its fleet by taking delivery of 41 VDL MidCity Dial-a-ride buses. The Flemish based transport company will operate the buses in West Flanders, Antwerp and Limburg. The low-floor Sprinter conversions have 13 seats (including 2 folding seats) and 9 standing spaces that can be also be used for wheelchairs and are fully accessible. The Euro 6 engine and compact dimensions make the MidCity ideal for narrow, city centre streets.
Deputy Director VDL Groep, Willem van der Leegte said, ‘We are very pleased with the good cooperation between VDL and De Lijn during this process. We are confident our buses will make a positive contribution to the sustainability and profitability of the De Lijn fleet.’
