CPT and Manchester Airport launch scheme
Manchester Airport has worked with CPT UK to launch a new scheme to assist coach drivers with the quick and easy movement of coaches and passengers through the airport’s collection and drop-off areas. The Coach Welcome scheme aims to provide clear information and a friendly welcome for a ‘hassle-free experience’. Operators, drivers and tour guides can take advantage of the additional parking bays, rest room, vehicle wash, toilet drop and booking centre provided.
CPT’s North West Regional Manager, Sue Mullen, said at the launch, ‘CPT has worked closely with Manchester Airport during the development and launch stages of the Scheme, and it’s great to see that so many of the concerns and difficulties previously encountered and raised by our members have been addressed. It features many elements of CPT’s prestigious Coach Friendly Status and clearly demonstrates that Manchester Airport appreciates the key role that coaches play in bringing thousands of passengers to the airport each and every day.’
Coaches wishing to use Manchester Airport should first register their visit with the Coach Operations Centre at Hale Top House, 24 hours prior to arrival. They can be contacted on telephone 0161 489 5154, or by email at [email protected] Forecourt permits for a 1 hour stay are priced at £15 and discounted to £10 for CPT Members, and the coach wash costs £20 and £15 for CPT Members.
