Coaches linked to coronavirus cases – Nicola Sturgeon
In her latest coronavirus update, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said coach travel seems to be linked with coronavirus cases.
As part of her cautions concerning travel, she said: “We’ve seen a number of Covid cases in recent weeks coming through our Test and Protect system which have been associated with travel, often coach travel, to other parts of the UK, and so that underlines how important it is to be careful.”
She continued: “It is not always possible to know exactly where somebody got the virus. But what we have seen is that coach travel is a theme emerging through test and protect work.”
She suggested residents of the central belt do not travel beyond this area unless it is necessary, as well as to be “very, very careful” when travelling.
