City Circle to take 100th Scania Irizar
City Circle (UK) is to take its 100th Scania Irizar. The coach is part of an order for 20 of the vehicles for delivery in 2020
All 20 coaches in the order are for Scania Irizar i6S models, of which 18 will be tri-axles with the remaining two based on 4×2 chassis.
The 18 tri-axles will be built on Scania’s K 410 6×2*4 rear-steer chassis and equipped with Scania’s 410-hp engine and fully automated Opticruise gear selection system. Their Irizar i6S bodywork will be 13.2-metres overall length and will feature 53 reclining seats with leather, extra padded flaps, seat back tables, magazine nets and footrests. Features include a sunken toilet, Frenzel kitchen, reversing and road cameras, integrated satellite navigation and Alcoa Dura-Bright alloy wheels.
The remaining two coaches will be based on Scania’s K 360 4×2 chassis fitted with Scania’s 360-hp engine and fully automated Opticruise gear selection system. Their 10.8-metre overall length Irizar i6S bodywork will incorporate 36 reclining seats with half-leather trim and fully furnished seat back facilities. They will have a rear floor-mounted toilet, an extensive servery at the rear of the coach with built in units for fridges and drinks facilities fitted by AD Coach Systems. Additional specification includes satellite navigation, twin monitors, dark tinted glass and Alcoa Dura-Bright alloy wheels.
