Challenges ahead for new CEO at Reading

Head of Reading Buses, Martijn Gilbert has been speaking of the challenges facing him in his new role. He said, ‘Many challenges lie ahead in terms of meeting economic growth, keeping pace with emerging technology and optimising the leading edge environmental credentials of the business.

‘I am a firm believer in understanding the detail and building effective relationships for the company. The business is successful because it is well integrated into the community and I will continue to develop, build and maintain relationships. I am really looking forward to working with the great team we have there as well as our stakeholders and customers, similarly, to continue delivering the great service that Reading Buses is renowned for both in the town and surrounding area.’
