Chalkwell improves onboard WiFi with FleetConnect
Sittingbourne-based Chalkwell coach Hire has partnered with FleetConnect to roll out upgraded WiFi across it’s bus network. The new solution will see eleven systems deployed on buses serving the town and nearby communities, including the Isle of Sheppey.
Managing Director, Roland Eglinton said: “People are looking for the best connectivity as part of the journey, whether it is to school, work, shopping or anything else. From the initial discussions with FleetConnect I was very impressed with their knowledge and attention to detail, plus they are a local business. Nationwide providers have their place, but as an SME operator we felt this was a good fit, and so far we have been really impressed.”
FleetConnect established WiFi services in Ireland 15 years ago, and launched into the UK in 2024 with offices and a dedicated team based in Kent and London. This expansion marked a significant milestone in FleetConnects mission to revolutionise transport connectivity.
