Central Buses adds Enviro200s

Central Buses has added three 10.8m ADL Enviro200s to its fleet. The buses have been purchased for the recently introduced Route 1 between Chapelfields, Coventry City Centre and University Hospital. They are fitted with Centrad (Central Buses’ sister company) 4G Wi-Fi, 39 seats, USB charge points and eight-camera CCTV systems. Power is provided by the Euro5 Cummins ISBe four-cylinder, 160PS engine coupled to Allison S2100 transmission.

MD at Central Buses, Geoff Cross, said, ‘We are passionate about bringing together high quality buses and friendly drivers to uphold our reputation as one of the leading bus operators in the country. Vehicles with comfort, style and performance are fundamental in our bid to achieve that objective and in that respect the Enviro200 fits the bill perfectly. We now have 11 of them in our fleet and they certainly live up to their reputation. It is little wonder they are the UK’s best selling midi buses.’

The buses were supplied directly by Alexander Dennis Ltd.
