400,000 discounted bus travel vouchers worth £1.2m are being delivered across Lanarkshire by First. The giveaway is the largest ever undertaken by First in Lanarkshire and is designed to encourage new passengers to take the bus and infrequent bus users to come onboard more often.

Volvo Buses’ earnings have grown, according to its figures for the second quarter of 2014. Net sales in the period increased by 19% to SEK4,775m/£408.3m (Q2 2013: SEK4,008m/£343m).
