Business as usual after Solus fire

Staffordshire-based Solus Coaches reports it is trading as usual despite suffering a fire at its Tamworth depot. It was reported that around ten coaches were destroyed in the blaze, which occurred on 29 December.

Six fire appliances attended the depot to tackle the conflagration. Staffordshire Fire and Rescue stayed on scene after the fire was out while the debris of the destroyed vehicles was removed.

The damage was so extensive the exact cause was difficult to determine. However, Fire Investigation Officer, Rob Horton, concluded the most likely cause was an electric fault caused by water entering near the fuse box of a coach.
