Bus Users’ new Director for England
Bus and coach passenger campaign group, Bus Users, has appointed Dawn Badminton-Capps to head up its work in England. The move follows a reorganisation that will see the group bring the structure of its England operations in line with those of Wales and Scotland. Dawn officially takes up the role of Bus Users’ Director of England. She will be responsible for leading the team dedicated to specifically English matters and developing the work of Bus Users across the UK.
Beginning her career as a science teacher, Dawn has worked with a number of organisations including Building Futures East and Norwich City Council before eventually becoming Volunteer Delivery Manager with Home Group.
Chief Executive of Bus Users, Claire Walters, said, ‘Dawn has extensive experience of the public and NGO sectors with particular strengths in community and stakeholder engagement and project management, skills we were specifically looking for with this role. Dawn will be leading the team in England and working closely with Bus User groups throughout the country to raise the profile of bus travel and improve the standard of bus services for everyone.’
