Bus Driver of the Year entries sought

Entries for the Bus Driver of the Year 2014 are currently being sought from operators large and small. The National Final of the competition will take place in Blackpool on 14 September. Last year’s overall winner, and Bus Driver of the Year 2013, was Gordon Cutting from Stagecoach Oxfordshire. He won out of 102 other drivers employed by all the major bus groups, municipal operators and smaller companies.

Chairman of the UK Bus Driver of the Year Association, Joe Mackie, said, ‘We are particularly keen to have more entries from the municipal and independent sectors of the industry as they are under represented at the moment. The National Final is a fantastic place for operators of all sizes to showcase their drivers’ skills and especially their commitment to excellent customer service.’
