Blackburn bus fire at station accidental
Roads have been closed in Blackburn after a bus fire at the town’s bus station. The cause of the blaze is accidental, according to Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.
Two fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were called to the fire.
Firefighters used three jets to extinguish the flames and ensured that the blaze did not spread to the bus station. No rescues or injuries have been reported.
The fire service was assisted by police officers. Railway Road leading to the station and surrounding streets have been closed.
According to local press reports, buses are having to park up at nearby Penny Street rather than serve the bus station.
