Birmingham buses turn 100
National Express West Midlands (NXWM) has held an event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of buses in Birmingham. The celebration was open to all and took place outside the new Library in Centenary Square. It featured buses from across the decades, including two from the 1950s and a modern day hybrid. There was also the first sight of a prototype next generation Birmingham bus which will be arriving in the city next year. The new vehicles will provide a step change in local transport and be used on key commuter routes. Centro’s customer information team and the award winning Safer Travel Police Team were also present.
