Better bus links for Wolverhampton
Faster and more convenient bus services between Wolverhampton and Willenhall have been launched as part of a package of route and timetable improvements. The West Midlands transport authority (Centro) has worked in partnership with National Express West Midlands and other operators to overhaul the local network, aiming to enhance the co-ordination of services for passengers. Some of the changes are a direct result of requests and feedback from locals. The improvements include: a more direct route for both the 28 and 69; timetable alterations to the 41 to improve reliability and to provide a 15 minute evenly spaced timetable with service 28 between New Invention and Willenhall; a new evening and Sunday service for Allens Rough on service 41; faster journey times for the 69 with an extended route to serve more of Wolverhampton city centre and co-ordination of the 69 and 89 services.
