Barnes makes it a dozen with Irizar i6

Barnes Coaches of Swindon have taken delivery of an Irizar Integral i6. The new coach marks the 12th Irizar Integral added to the operators fleet since 2015.

At 14 metres, the tri-axle features 61 passenger seats trimmed with moquette, synthetic leather headrests, laterals and piping. Each seat also features magazine nets, seatback tables and multi-position footrests. USB charging points are supplied throughout the saloon to allow passengers the opportunity to charge their devices on route.

Leather driver and courier seats have been chosen for additional comfort and durability and the coach has a vacuum cleaner installed, as well as a Bosch Smart Series audio visual system and Actia DVD player supplied with two monitors. Other refinements include an onboard drinks machine, lower aisle coloured lighting and a washroom located in the central stairwell.

The new tri-axle features DAF’s 11-litre, 449hp MX-11 330 engine driven through a ZF EcoLife Coachline fully-automatic transmission.
