Arriva gets SAD in Slovakia

Arriva has acquired two more bus operating companies in Slovakia. The operator has taken on SAD Liorbus Group and SAD Trnava Group. SAD Liorbus Group currently operates a regional bus network in northern Slovakia, the Zilina Region, as well as city services in three towns. SAD Trnava Group operates a regional bus network in western Slovakia, Trnava Region and city services in three towns. The acquisitions see Arriva’s fleet in Slovakia increase to over 1,350 buses, while the business now employs nearly 2,400 people. Arriva has what it describes as a significant presence in Slovakia, with bus operations through three businesses: Arriva Nove Zamky, Arriva Nitra and Arriva Michalovce.
