Another Panther for Alpine

Alpine Travel of Llandudno, North Wales, has added another Plaxton Panther to its fleet. This is the 30th example of the Volvo/Plaxton combination operated by the company. The new 12.8m coach is based on the Volvo B9R chassis, powered by the 380bhp Euro5 D9B 9.36litre engine coupled to an I-shift transmission. It is specified with 53 Politecnica GTV seats, a Grammer driver’s seat, a low level washroom, a fridge and a servery area. Commenting on the Volvo/Plaxton combination, Director, Chris Owens, said, ‘It’s a combination that you really can’t go wrong with! They are designed for a long life, hold their resale value and are well supported by their manufacturers.’
