ADL award for hydrogen project
Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) has been recognised for its Sustainable Development at the 2022 Scottish Engineering Awards.
The award was presented to ADL by Paul Sheerin, Chief Executive of Scottish Engineering and Bernie O’Neil, Vice President of Scottish Engineering in the category of “Vice President’s Awards”. The ADL Enviro400FCEV project combines engineering and manufacturing excellence with innovation and business transformation to create the first ever Scottish built hydrogen fuel cell bus.
ADL’s Stewart Samson was shortlisted for Young Engineer of the Year for his project that focussed on new electrical and software controls, architecture and global product electrification.
Paul Davies, ADL President & Managing Director, said: “I am delighted that we have won the prestigious Sustainable Development Award at the 2022 Scottish Engineering Awards. It underlines the strength, depth and capability of the ADL team members that are responsible for our product development and programme delivery.
