ADL appoints Jaguar Land Rover man

Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) has appointed Chris Gall as its new Group Engineering Director. Joining from Jaguar Land Rover, Chris is tasked with developing the company’s product range in new technologies and new markets.

In his new role at ADL, Chris will leverage his experience to continue to develop and execute the company’s strategy and roadmap to deliver technically challenging engineering projects at pace. He will lead ADL’s team of engineering and support staff to shape the direction of technology development and respond to market demands as the bus industry transitions towards a zero-emission future. Chris will also play an active role in continuing to drive forward innovation and synergies between the various business units within the wider NFI Group, ADL’s owners.

Chris most recently held the position of Chief Engineer for New Electrified Architecture at Jaguar Land Rover before joining ADL. He held several key senior and strategic leadership roles over the course of the last decade, including three years on the board of a joint venture in China. Before Jaguar Land Rover, Chris spent 17 years with Ford, rising through the ranks and holding several key engineering roles in territories including the UK, USA, Turkey and Germany.
