Abellio to invest

Abellio London is to invest in ten new ADL Enviro200s after winning the contract to run TfL’s 367 route. Currently operated by Metrobus, the service runs between West Croydon and Bromley. Abellio is to start operating the route in March 2016 from the Beddington depot using the new buses. Also in the tender awards, the company has retained route 484 for a further five year term. Again, the new contract will start in March 2016 and will continue to operate from Walworth depot using existing vehicles. The 484 runs between Lewisham and Camberwell Green via Ladywell, Brockley, Peckham Rye and East Dulwich.

Further investment in new buses will also be made following the retention of the TfL contract for route C10 for a fixed period of four years. For this contract Abellio will be acquiring 21 new 10.8m ADL Enviro200s for the eight mile long route which runs between Canada Water, Surrey Quays, Rotherhithe, Bermondsey, Elephant & Castle, Tate Gallery, Pimlico and Victoria.
