400km on one charge

BYD has reported that one of its 18m articulated pure electric buses has covered over 400km between Bogota and Medellin in Columbia on a single battery charge. The non-stop journey was part of the preparation of the bus for operating in Medellin. The Columbian city has a lot of steep slopes and the manufacturer claims this successful journey was the first step to prove BYD’s mature technology can provide a reliable service there.
