20 more Scania Irizar i6 coaches have now joined the fleet of Hayes, Middlesex based City Circle UK Ltd. This additional batch of vehicles makes the fleet predominantly Scania powered and should ensure its fleet is more than 75% of the way towards being completely Euro6 well in advance of the required date for London. 16 of the Scania Irizars are 12.9m, based on Scania’s K 410 6×2*4 chassis and have Scania 410hp Euro6 engines coupled with the fully automated Opticruise gear selection system. These vehicles have 53 seats with leather and extra padded flaps, a sunken toilet and a Frenzel Kitchen located at the centre continental exit. The remaining four are 10.8m long and are based on Scania’s K 360 EB 4×2 chassis with Scania’s 360hp Euro6 engine matched to fully automated Opticruise gear selection system. These vehicles have 36 reclining seats with half leather trim, rear floor mounted toilet/washroom and an extensive servery at the rear of the coach with built in units for fridges and drinks facilities fitted by A&D coach systems.
