A number of documents have been released by the EU regarding proposals to change Driver CPC. The main plans are that courses cannot be repeated within the five year period, one course must be specifically related to ‘Road Safety’ and e-learning may be recognised. There are also numerous minor post-implementation issues being clarified following the ending of the ‘transitional period’ on 10 September 2016. The timescale on these proposals is currently unknown, but industry sources suggest any changes will probably be post-Brexit.
