Young Bus Professionals Conference heads to Southampton

The next Young Bus Professionals conference will be held in Southampton on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 October, starting with a behind-the-scenes tour of bus refurbishment centre, Hants & Dorset Trim, on the Wednesday afternoon and followed by dinner with after-dinner speaker Matt Carney, CEO Bus at Go-Ahead Group, giving his insights and observations of running buses both here in the UK and in his homeland of Australia.

On the second day of the conference, there will be presentations from a range of transport professionals from across the south of England including Katy Taylor, CEO of Wightlink Ferries; Paul Walker, Head of Passenger Transport at Portsmouth City Council; Joel Mitchell, MD of Stagecoach South East and Richard Tyldsley, General Manager of Bluestar. A different view on the industry will come from Paul Clifton, recently retired BBC Transport correspondent who has been a passionate advocate of transport for many years.
