Wrightbus reaffirms commitment to UK market

Wrightbus is to make its public debut under its new ownership, the firm has confirmed.

It has reaffirmed its commitment to the UK market, by continuing with plans made under Wrightbus’ former owners to exhibit at ITT Hub, Farnborough, on May 13-14.

It means it will be the first time that Wrightbus has exhibited since being bought out of administration by Jo Bamford in October 2019.

“We are delighted to confirm that Wrightbus, under the new ownership of the Bamford Bus Company, will be exhibiting at ITT Hub in May this year,” says John McLeister Managing Director, Sales and Business Development, Wrightbus.

“This new and exciting event, with our focus firmly on our customers and innovation and technology, is an ideal platform for us to re-establish our presence in market.”

Wrightbus’ large outdoor stand is located adjacent to the bus, coach and van demonstration hub.

The new show – dedicated to innovation and technology in transport (ITT Hub) fills a significant gap in the marketplace – sees an indoor and outdoor exhibition, alongside ride-and-drive opportunities on a dedicated two-miles route.

There is also a high-level free-to-attend conference, which will be opened by a keynote address from UK astronaut Major Tim Peake CMG.
