Witness a public inquiry

A mock public enquiry will be the highlight of this year’s IRTE Conference on 17 September 2014 at the Hilton St George’s Park, Burton upon Trent. It is intended to demonstrate the legal pitfalls operators can easily fall foul of and the consequences of non-compliance. It will be presided over by Traffic Commissioner, Kevin Rooney, with cross examination by legal firm Backhouse Jones and evidence presented by DVSA vehicle examiners. Transport engineers, fleet managers and industry experts will be in attendance at the conference to reveal the latest technologies and thinking aimed at helping increase fleet efficiency, save fuel and improve compliance. The keynote address will be delivered by David Cebon, Director of the Cambridge Vehicle Dynamics Consortium. Secretary of State for Transport, Claire Perry MP, will also convey a message to this year’s delegates.
