Volvo made a big reveal at Euro Bus Expo, displaying a B11R 4×2 chassis equipped with MCV 12.65m long stainless steel coachwork.

Retailing at £215,000, the as yet unnamed coach is 3.65m high and 2.55m wide with a 13,300kg ULW. The first eight examples have been ordered by Golden Tours, already an enthusiastic MCV customer, and the show exhibit carried their colours.

They will enter service in the first quarter of 2019 with I-Shift transmission matched to the 10.8-litre D11K 430hp engine. 53 Brusa Create 120 half-leather trimmed seats complete with seatback-mounted USBs are fitted as well as a fully demountable toilet unit and there is a roof-mounted 32kW Sutrak air conditioning system. It is the first time MCV has supplied a coach product in the UK, though it offers a full range in some others markets.

A three-year body warranty is being offered on top of the chassis package and sales of 25 units are predicted for 2019.
