Tribute to Angus Adams

A tribute to Angus Adams, the former West Midlands ITA (Centro) Chairman, has been unveiled at Stourbridge bus station. The memorial takes the form of a granite plaque engraved with an image of the Dudley councillor. It reads: ‘This award-winning bus station is dedicated to Angus who worked tirelessly for its development on behalf of the people of Stourbridge. A highly respected local character Angus and his wry sense of humour are very fondly remembered.’ Angus had been instrumental in pushing forward the redevelopment of the station. He unexpectedly died in April 2012.

Centro Chief Executive, Geoff Inskip, said, ‘Building a new bus station for Stourbridge was an important goal for Angus and he worked unstintingly to make it happen. That’s why it’s so sad he never saw it completed. This plaque at least captures and pays tribute to the vital role he had in providing passengers with such an excellent facility.’
