trent barton in double celebration

trent barton and Mansfield Town FC are both celebrating successes this year. The football team has been promoted to the Football League, whilst the operator is marking a successful first year for its revamped ‘threes’ service. Following a £1.9m investment last year, the service between Mansfield and Nottingham has become the fastest growing route in its network. Due to the popularity of the ‘threes’, an enhanced timetable has been introduced on Sundays, with buses every 20 minutes instead of every half hour. To mark the two successes, members of the Mansfield squad are being featured on the back of ‘threes’ buses and ticket holders for the team’s home games are now eligible for a full day’s travel on any of the operator’s buses for £4.50.

trent barton Commercial Director, Alex Hornby, said, ‘The success of the “threes” has a knock-on effect of bringing more people into towns along the route, including Sutton and Hucknall. This will obviously be good news for local businesses, just as the Stags’ success on the football field will provide a boost for traders in Mansfield. We aim to be a really good bus company, always responding to customer feedback. As a result, the “threes” look set to go from strength to strength – just as we hope Mansfield Town will do following their historic promotion.’
