Transdev Ticketer Tap On/Tap Off deployment complete

Ticketer has announced the successful deployment of Tap On/Tap Off (TOTO) technology on board Transdev’s fleet of 472 buses. A longstanding Ticketer customer since 2014, Transdev’s TOTO deployment across the Yorkshire region follows closely on the heels of installing Ticketer TK300 driver consoles fleet-wide – both major components in their strategy to modernise and enhance services by implementing innovative, passenger-focussed solutions.

The combined rollout of Ticketer TK300s and TOTO underpins Transdev’s ambitions to provide passengers with faster, more flexible and more seamless bus experiences. The TK300’s advanced functionality, including faster processing and an improved driver console for speedier ticketing, was unlocked through Ticketer’s cost-effective modular upgrade path. This allowed Transdev to upgrade specific components of their incumbent TK200s rather than the entire ETM, to deliver the enhanced capabilities.

Paul Turner, Commercial Director at Transdev, says: “Our partnership with Ticketer continues to deliver real benefits for our customers and our business. The rollout of Tap On/Tap Off technology, alongside the new TK300 devices, marks a major step forward in our mission to make bus travel faster and easier for our colleagues and customers.”

Adam Toone, Ticketer’s Chief Commercial and Operations Officer, says: “We’re thrilled to be entering the next phase of our valued partnership with Transdev which highlights our shared commitment to innovation and improving the passenger experience.”
