The Kings Ferry get commuting again

Positive feedback has been received by The Kings Ferry as it announced the return of its commuter services. The National Express-owned operator is to restart commuter services on 13 July, following their suspension over the lockdown.

However, despite this positive feedback, some expressed concern that its relaunched services do not cover all of the areas served prior to the lockdown. In response, The Kings Ferry confirmed its relaunched commuter services have been devised based on the feedback it received from customers in a recent survey. Services have been scheduled to operate at the times favoured by the majority and through the areas where there is most demand at this time. As demand increases, it aims to look at how this could be expanded further to best suit those travelling.

Extra safety systems have been put in place in light of COVID-19, such as a seat reservation service for customers to ensure social distancing and help the company to monitor customer demand. With the initial service reintroduction operated by The Kings Ferry vehicles, Clarkes of London customer tickets will be migrated over to The Kings Ferry app.
