Stanley Travel adds seventh Futura 2

Stanley Travel has collected its seventh VDL Futura FHD2 129.410.

Fitted with a ZF Traxon automated gearbox and intarder, the new coach has an 830litre fuel tank, Alcoa Durabrite alloy wheels, 57 VDL Class 300 seats with Top Luxe upholstery and Blackline finish and Bosch entertainment package with DVD player.

The coach is PSVAR compliant with Hanover destination equipment and a PLS wheelchair lift with extending platform above the drive axle, allowing maximum luggage capacity. It has USBs under the seat frames and a driver’s cabinet.

Stanley Travel has been buying VDL Futura 2s since 2015. Speaking to B&CB, Andrew Scott, Director at Stanley Travel, said of the Futura 2: “It’s a really good product; the build quality and finish is as good as it’s going to get.”

The operator has aimed to standardise on this model as much as it can throughout its fleet, giving familiarity for its drivers and making parts management easier.
