Specially-branded FlixBus showcases Rajasthan

FlixBus has announced a new partnership with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan. The team-up is intended to introduce the Indian state’s vibrant culture and heritage to UK passengers.

As part of the initiative, FlixBus has unveiled a custom-branded coach which showcases the rich and colourful tourism landscape of Rajasthan.

The collaboration was launched at a ceremonial flag-off event in London, attended by Mr. Rakesh Dahiya, First Secretary (Trade, Tourism & OCI) at the High Commission of India to the United Kingdom; Senior Managing Director of FlixBus UK, Andreas Schorling and Managing Director of FlixBus India, Surya Khurana.

The coach will be seen on FlixBus services between London and Cambridge, as well as key routes in India, including Dehradun–Haridwar–Delhi–Jaipur.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Rakesh Dahiya, First Secretary (Trade, Tourism & OCI) at the High Commission of India to the United Kingdom said: “On behalf of the High Commission of India, London, I would like to congratulate both FlixBus and Rajasthan’s Department of Tourism, for the launch of this visionary and very memorable initiative.

“The flag-off of this heritage-themed FlixBus service is not only a promotional event, it is a celebration of Rajasthan’s rich culture and rich heritage. The linkage of a QR code to the Department of Tourism’s website is a brilliant touch, blending tradition and technology. Let the wheels roll and let Rajasthan’s story travel far and wide in the UK.”

The partnership also includes a promotional offer for 100 FlixBus passengers arriving in Jaipur, who will receive free entry to the Albert Hall Museum.

A joint social media campaign will also be launched, encouraging user-generated content and engagement from high-profile figures in India.

FlixBus launched in the UK in 2021, with over 200 coaches across more than 80 destinations in England, Wales and Scotland. The brand launched in India in 2024 and already runs more than 220 buses across the country, including in several key routes in Rajasthan.
