Scania half year figures

Scania has released its sales figures for the first six months of 2015. Its net sales for the period amounted to SEK46,798m/£3485.82m (H1 2014: SEK43,917m/£3,271.22m), up 7%. Order bookings for buses and coaches during the period were described as stable compared to last year. Its total order bookings for PCVs increased by 1% to 3,712 units (H1 2014: 3,661 units). During the second quarter of this year, European order bookings rose to 486 units (H1 2014: 293 units).

Scania’s bus and coach deliveries totalled 3,150 units during the first half of 2015, down 1% compared to the 3,180 units delivered in the same period last year. In Europe, deliveries increased by 48% compared to the second quarter of 2014. Net sales of buses and coaches rose by 28% to SEK4,344m/£323.57m (H1 2014: SEK3,391m/£252.58m) during the first half of 2015. Sales rose by 30% to SEK2,593m/£193.14m (H1 2014: SEK1,991m/£148.3m).
