Scania appoints new Account Manager

Scania (Great Britain) Limited has appointed Richard Birt to the position of Bus and Coach Account Manager – South West. Richard, who has a background in sales and aftersales within Scania’s South West region, succeeds Richard Sear, who has retired.

He commented, ‘This is a very exciting time to be joining Scania’s Bus and Coach team, which is enjoying an extremely buoyant period with its market share increasing year-on-year and new products on the way. I am moving from within the Scania UK business and now look forward to working with our passenger carrying vehicle customers and helping to further develop our presence within this important market place.’

‘I will be looking to offer customers a complete vehicle package with the nationwide back up from the UK’s 89 dealers. This, coupled with the proven quality, performance and kerb appeal of the vehicles themselves, adds up to up to an excellent package in my opinion.’
