Robinsons’ Volvo association continues

Robinsons Holidays of Great Harwood, Blackburn, has added two Volvo B11Rs with Jonckheere bodywork to its fleet. Powered by Volvo D11C six cylinder diesel engines, each vehicle has 53 passenger seats, two TV monitors, a centre water boiler, a CD/DVD player, a centre demountable toilet and a sound system.

Robinsons Holidays Director, David Lord, said, ‘We’ve heard some excellent reports on the performance of the B11R chassis from other operators. The amount of miles that our vehicles cover means that we require a product that we can trust 100%. Volvo has supplied 12 out of our 16 coach fleet and we continue to have a long and successful relationship with them. The new vehicles are going to be used on our UK and European tour programme. Our local Volvo Bus dealership is Thomas Hardie Commercials and they are excellent. The best thing with Volvo is that you get the full package. We’ve had eight CCTV cameras installed on each vehicle. That not only gives our passengers added security and peace of mind, but it also provides the driver with an added aid.’
