Registrations rise in May

Registrations for buses and coaches were strong in May, according to the latest Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) figures. SMMT Chief Executive, Mike Hawes, said, ‘The UK’s bus and coach market performed strongly in May, with all sectors reporting increased demand. Coach builders in particular enjoyed a welcome boost to business as operators continued to invest in their fleets ahead of the busy summer holiday period. With overall year-to-date values remaining high for a fifth month this year, we can be optimistic that this trend will continue into 2015.’
