As the Assistant Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering the workshop, developing plans and setting standards. This unique opportunity places you at the forefront of bus engineering, contributing to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities in Engineering Leadership:
• Strategically delegate maintenance and repairs, exceeding DVSA requirements and industry standards.
• Champion a culture of unwavering commitment to health and safety, engineering legislation, and company policies
• Mentor and guide the engineering team, driving excellence in technical skills and operational efficiency.
• Cultivate effective communication with colleagues and the Depot Engineering Manager to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Stay at the forefront of industry advancements, continually sharpening your engineering skills and staying ahead of the curve.
• Ensure the swift and accurate completion of engineering records, upholding a high standard of documentation.
Engineering Expertise We Seek:
• Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential.
• Proven time-served experience as a PCV or heavy vehicle mechanic is a prerequisite. • A PCV licence is desirable, showcasing your dedication to the sector.
• A passion for developing others to enhance overall team efficiency.
• Proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, even under pressure.
• Flexibility in working hours, demonstrating adaptability to the dynamic demands of the engineering landscape.
