NAT’s new route

New Adventure Travel (NAT) has launched a new route, the X11. The express service to Cardiff city centre runs from Pentwyn via Llanedeyrn, Newport Road and Churchill Way every 20 minutes. Fares are £1.60 single, £3 all day, £10 weekly and £40 monthly.

Peterborough Rally date

The 2016 Peterborough Bus Rally will be held on Sunday 10 July at Sacrewell Farm, situated on the A47, just off the A1. Dozens of vintage and modern buses and coaches will be on display, with a selection available to ride on. The rally will be open from 10:00 until 16:00. Citeas for Aachen

VDL Bus & Coach has delivered five Citea LLE buses to ASEAG (Aachner Strabenbahn und Energieversorgungs-AG), the body responsible for public transport in and around the city of Aachen. One VDL Citea LLE bus has already been in use as part of a trial since November 2014. According to VDL, the test resulted in lower fuel consumption. The model is designed to achieve this with its lightweight construction.

Buses and Coaches at a Crossroads

A conference is being held by the IRU (International Transport Union), entitled ‘Buses and Coaches at a Crossroads: Long-Distance and Innovation’. Held on 3 March 2016 from 10.30 to 16.00 at Rue de la Loi 75, 1040 Brussels, speakers will explore the ‘revolution’ the passenger transport market is undergoing in several EU Member States and across the world, due to the liberalisation of national long distance coach markets and the emergence of new innovative players.
