New Coastliner schedule proceeds £2.3m investment

A new, increased summer timetable for 2016 has been announced on Transdev’s Yorkshire Coastliner. The move preceeds a £2.3m investment in ten new double deckers arriving at the end of the year. Coastliner runs every 30 minutes between Leeds, York and Malton, with onward journeys to Scarborough, Pickering and Thornton or Whitby.

CEO at Transdev, Alex Hornby, said, ‘Making sure our customers have the very best day out is what we’re all about at Coastliner. It’s such a great way to see our glorious coast and we’re so proud to be a part of the Yorkshire experience. We want to encourage more and more people to support our amazing seaside resorts and our new increased daily timetable on Coastliner will make exploring Yorkshire even easier. Investment in Coastliner is important to attract more people. We are very excited by the introduction of the new fleet equipped with comfy coach seats, tables, wood effect deck flooring, free Wi-Fi and USB power points for every customer.’
