NatEx Coventry network steps up service

National Express Coventry is to make changes to its bus network from 30 August, including more buses, route revisions, frequency increases and new bus links. This is the latest set of changes made as it evolves its services in response to the pandemic.

The latest confirmed changes come ahead of an expected increase in the use of public transport during September. Many will be returning to their pre-pandemic frequencies. Throughout lockdown and the relaxation of travel restrictions, National Express Coventry has been working closely with Transport for West Midlands through the Bus Alliance to provide the right public transport network for the region.

Chris Gibbens, Commercial Director at National Express Bus, said: “We’re making adjustments to some routes to better match how our customers use the bus network. Some roads may have a different service on them than the service they have now. However, I’d like to reassure our customers that nobody will lose a bus service. In fact, they’ll get a better service as we are improving our network reliability and connections.”
