Milestones met on Roberts Travel’s departure lounge construction
Progress on Leicestershire-based Roberts Travel Groups‘ new departure lounge continues apace.
Work started on the site in February this year. The new extension is in response to customer feedback and increasing passenger numbers. The aim of the project is to ensure a modern, comfortable and efficient space for travellers before they depart.
Both the first and second floors of the new building are now fully complete. Several significant developments have taken place recently, including the installation of sleek, modern windows throughout the building. These are not only intended to give the structure a bright, open feel but also offer a glimpse into the future of Roberts’ commitment to contemporary design and passenger comfort, the company says.
A statement from the operator said: “Perhaps most eye-catching of all is the newly added cedar-style cladding to the building’s exterior. This warm, natural finish provides a beautiful contrast to the modern design elements, adding character and a welcoming touch to what will soon be a bustling departure lounge.
“As each new feature is completed, excitement continues to grow across the Roberts team” – Roberts Travel Group
The new departure lounge is more than just a building, according to the statement, it ‘marks a significant step forward in Roberts Travel Group’s ongoing mission to enhance the departure experience for its customers’, saying: “The company has long been known for its attention to detail and customer care, and this new facility embodies that same ethos in physical form.
“As each new feature is completed, excitement continues to grow across the Roberts team. Watching the building evolve from design plans to a striking physical structure has been a proud moment for all involved.”
The transformation is impossible to miss, and interest is growing among customers and local residents alike, according to Roberts.
Over the coming months, the team will be focusing on interior development, customer amenities and those final finishing touches on the building. The operator says it is to welcome passengers into the new space ‘very soon’.
