megabus suspends services

Following the government’s guidance to stay at home and stop all non-essential travel, Stagecoach-owned megabus is to temporarily suspend its services in England and Wales. None of its services in these countries will be running after 5 April.

However, it will still be continuing to run its megabus services within Scotland.

A statement on the operator’s website attributed to Mark Venables, MD of megabus, said: “We’re sorry for the inconvenience this will cause you. We firmly believe that the decision to temporarily suspend services is the right one based on the current unprecedented circumstances, and I hope you understand the reasons for our decision to stop running services in England and Wales. We hope to be able to welcome you back on board very soon.”
