McGill’s welcomes Minister during 12m milestone

McGill’s Buses has welcomed Jim Fairlie MSP, Scottish Government Minister for Connectivity, to its Johnstone depot. The politician took a tour of the operator’s facilities and discussed the company’s ambitious journey towards a zero-emission future.

The visit coincides with McGill’s celebrating a significant milestone: having covered 12 million electric miles with its growing fleet of zero-emission buses. During the tour, Jim Fairlie explored the advanced electric fleet, including the charging infrastructure, and learned more about McGill’s plans to further expand its sustainable operations. The operator said the visit highlighted its commitment to supporting Scotland’s vision for a greener public transport network.
