McGill’s launches Fly Aberdeen route
McGill’s Group is now operating its new Fly Aberdeen service. The direct coach link connecting Aberdeen city centre and Edinburgh Airport started at 1.35am today (28 April 2025).
Operating eight times daily, Fly Aberdeen services are strategically timed to connect with major domestic and international departures from Edinburgh Airport. It offers a journey time of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, says McGill’s.
All coaches on the service are Mercedes-Benz Tourismos. The route has a five-vehicle PVR, with another two for servicing and MOT cover.

Stephen Riggans, Area Director for McGill’s Scotland North, was on hand to wave off the first passengers. Owen told me he had been searching online for a straightforward, reliable way to get to the airport — and found Fly Aberdeen offered exactly what he needed: practical, efficient, and perfectly timed.
