Mayors and Ministers back British
In the latest meeting of the UK Bus Manufacturing Expert Panel, Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander, the Local Transport Minister Simon Lightwood, Metro Mayors and the Scottish Government transport team came together for a UK bus manufacturing stocktake, promising to support highly skilled jobs that deliver the Plan for Change.
The session focussed on the 10-year future pipeline of zero-emission bus orders, in order to give the UK manufacturers who currently meet around 60% of the demand, the long-term certainty needed to invest and grow.
