Mayne get accessible with Elite

Mayne Coaches of Warrington has taken delivery of its first wheelchair accessible coach, a 12.6m Plaxton Elite, based on a Volvo B9R underframe. Wheelchair users board using a concealed lift in the main entrance which gives access to an area with mountings to secure the wheelchair. The 49-seater also has a demountable centre toilet which can be removed to make space for four additional seats

‘A big benefit of this coach is its flexibility,’ explains Amanda Jackson, GM. ‘While we see it bringing in new business from customers who require wheelchair access, the specification makes it ideal for our corporate clients.’

Plaxton Coach Sales of Anston supplied the Elite.
