MAN CEO steps down

MAN Truck & Bus UK has announced the departure of its CEO, Des Evans, following recent illness. In mutual agreement with his colleagues on the UK board and in Munich, it has been agreed that he would be unable to continue his duties. Credited with many significant advances in the UK business at MAN, Des Evans will now go on leave, stepping down with immediate effect. Until a suitable successor is found, his duties will be undertaken by the Board of Directors.

A close colleague at MAN Truck & Bus UK, Vince Welsh, Director UK Aftersales, said, ‘Everyone involved with Des, be they customers, work colleagues or suppliers, will want to wish this larger-than-life character a speedy and full recovery.’
