JG Travel takes on charity hike

On Saturday 16 October, 12 members of The JG Travel Group embarked on a ‘Starlight 10k’ hike in aid of their local Sue Ryder hospice in Cheltenham. The team raised £1,500 which The JG Travel Group then matched, bringing the total raised to £3,000.

Commenting on the achievement, Helen Moylan, HR Director at The JG Travel Group, said: “As a team we wanted to give something back to our local community in Cheltenham where our head office is based. The Sue Ryder charity is one many of us hold close to our hearts, as it provided end-of-life care to one of our colleagues as well as some of the team’s family members.

“We had so much fun on the night walking the route around Cheltenham under the stars, and it was a great way to remember those we have lost whilst raising lots of money for such a great cause.”

The money raised will help the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice continue to provide expert and compassionate palliative care and bereavement support in the local Gloucestershire community.

The JG Travel Group incorporates the brands Just Go Holidays, Omega and National Holidays. The Group has had to expand its offices as it plans to grow the business.
